MISSION

OVHA is a learning academy that partners with homeschool families. Our mission is to provide support and to partner with parents as they educate their children at home. At OVHA, we will cultivate spiritual growth, invigorate the love of learning and have fun as we learn together in a family like multi-age setting. The carefully chosen faith based curriculum will help impart a biblical worldview and provide a solid core curriculum.

VISION

To raise up a generation of leaders with a heart to know God, to serve God, and to be a world changer for the kingdom.

To partner with parents to raise up a generation of leaders with a biblical worldview and a heart for the kingdom.

Statement of Faith

Kindergarten - 4th Grade

Students will spend two days a week in class at our campus. The teacher will provide the scope and sequence of each semester for use at home and on campus. Recognizing that the parents are the primary educators for three days a week, we work together as a team to provide a comprehensive and cohesive learning experience.

Curriculum

We use the My Father’s World curriculum for Bible, History, and Science & Language Arts. Singapore Math, Dimensions series, is used for mathematics.

Many other resources are utilized as supplementary materials.

WHAT WE OFFER

Class and activities two days a week taught by qualified teachers for grades K-4.

Community for students and parents through field trips and special events and other enriching activities.

Scope and sequence for the My Father’s World curriculum and Singapore Math that will provide cohesive learning across your home and our homeschool academy.

Readiness / Suitability Guideline

We require that students who participate demonstrate age appropriate independence / behavior (e.g. a 5 year old should be able to use the restroom independently, able to follow routine instructions, engage in social conversation and play, and have the ability to regulate one's behavior). These guidelines are in place to allow us to provide the best possible experience for all enrolled.

SPECIAL NEEDS Students

We are not able to accommodate students with special needs. We are simply not qualified and do not have the expertise to properly meet the needs of your children.
